Introduction: Gruha Gurukulam

Gruha Gurukulam means “Learning at the home of Teacher in ideal case a “Guru” — a form of ancient Indian education where the Guru teaches students at his own residence, fostering learning that is natural, continuous, and deeply personal. Education is not restricted to books or classrooms, but happens through day-to-day life — in the kitchen, in the fields, during rituals, and under the stars and not confined to only classrooms.

Traditionally, a Gruha Gurukulam Acharya is a master of 10 shastra-s or vidyas, and students live and learn under their guidance for at least 8-12 years.  On the same principles, “Shri Vishwamitra Gurukulam” operates through three core pillars since 2018:

(1)Education; (2) Research; and (3) Community Service.

लक्ष्य: भारत के प्राचीन वैज्ञानिक चिंतन की विरासत को पारंपरिक विज्ञानों — “खगोल” (खगोलशास्त्र), “गणित” (गणितशास्त्र), “ज्योतिष” (ज्योतिविज्ञान), और “विज्ञान” (समग्र विज्ञान) — में गहन अध्ययन और अनुसंधान के माध्यम से, गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा के अमर मार्गदर्शन में पुनः स्थापित करना।

परिचय: गृह गुरुकुल  –  गृह गुरुकुल का अर्थ है — “गुरु के घर में सीखना”। यह भारत की प्राचीन शिक्षा पद्धति है, जिसमें गुरु अपने निवास स्थान पर ही छात्रों को शिक्षा देता है। यह एक ऐसा वातावरण बनाता है जहाँ शिक्षा स्वाभाविक, निरंतर और व्यक्तिगत रूप से होती है। शिक्षा केवल पुस्तकों या कक्षा तक सीमित नहीं होती, बल्कि रसोई, खेत, अनुष्ठानों और तारों के नीचे—जीवन के प्रत्येक पहलू में—घटित होती है। परंपरागत रूप से, एक गृह गुरुकुल का आचार्य दस शास्त्रों या विद्याओं का ज्ञाता होता है और विद्यार्थी उसके संरक्षण में 8 से 12 वर्षों तक निवास करते हुए अध्ययन करते हैं। इन्हीं सिद्धांतों पर आधारित होकर, “श्री विश्वामित्र गुरुकुलम्” 2018 से तीन मुख्य स्तंभों पर कार्य कर रहा है:

1. शिक्षा; 2. अनुसंधान; 3. समाज सेवा.

👨‍🏫 PROFILES AND EXPERTISE OF ACHARYAS (Faculty Members)

Acharya Pavan Golasangi, Founder & Principal

Acharya Sri Pavan Golasangi is a Vedic scholar, engineer, and the visionary Founder-Principal of Shri Vishwamitra Gurukulam, a residential Gruha Gurukulam in Dharwad, Karnataka. Firmly rooted in the Guru-Shishya parampara, he has immersed himself in over 12 years of rigorous study and practice in disciplines such as the Rigveda, Dvaita Vedanta, classical Darshanas, Nyaya Shastra (Indian Logic and Epistemology), Dharma Shastra, Sanskrit Vyakarana, and the full spectrum of Jyotisha—comprising Samhita, Siddhanta (Astronomy and Mathematics), and Hora (Astrology).

In parallel with his traditional learning, he completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2017. Following his graduation, he chose the path of service to Sanatana Dharma by founding Shri Vishwamitra Gurukulam, reviving the ancient model of residential Vedic education in a contemporary setting.

Acharya Pavan’s scholarly contributions include research, commentary, and the revival of rare Jyotisha texts. His works include Panchanga Sadhan Manjusha, Pratoda Yantra Ganitam with Commentary, Daivagnya Bhushanam, and Kheta Kalpavalli with Commentary, each aimed at preserving and propagating authentic Indic knowledge systems.

Expanding beyond the realm of Jyotisha, he is also dedicated to traditional research in indigenous animal care, herbal healing, and organic farming. He actively mentors individuals and communities in Gopalan (cow care), Ashwapalan (horse care), and sustainable agricultural practices rooted in Bharatiya tradition.

Living and breathing the Gurukula ethos, Acharya Pavan exemplifies what he teaches—offering full-time guidance with unwavering dedication, compassion, and personal involvement in each student’s journey. His vision is to nurture a new generation of Vedic scholars—grounded in timeless wisdom and empowered to engage with the modern world with clarity, confidence, and cultural integrity.

Dr. Avinash Arvind Rasalkar, Ph.D.: Visiting Acharya

Dr. Avinash Rasalkar, Ph.D. is an experimental biologist with 23 years of experience, specializing in molecular mechanisms of acute myeloid leukemia. His research in this field led to a Ph.D. in Human Biology from the Faculty of Medicine, Ulm University, Germany (World Rank 142 in 2017). He holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology (1997) and a M.Sc. in Biotechnology (1999) from North Maharashtra University, India.

 His work spans molecular and cellular mechanisms of aggressive blood cancers using murine models, human male infertility, sex-reversal disorders, lung cancer, and infectious diseases. Earlier, he explored microbial biotransformation of antibiotics and recently initiated small-scale in-vitro studies integrating Ayurvedic concepts to validate Indian traditional therapeutics. Dr. Avinash has 14 peer-reviewed publications and one book chapter, with 6 in Q1 journals; his h-index is 7, and i10-index is 7.

Earlier he has worked with CSIR-Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology, Hyderabad Helmholtz Center, Munich Comprehensive Cancer Center, Ulm University Brain Mind Institute, EPFL, Switzerland. These experiences have equipped him with cross-disciplinary expertise in molecular medicine, diagnostics, and translational applications. For the past three years, he has been based in Dharwad, Karnataka, studying Sanskrit and Bharatiya Jñāna Paramparā. His immersion has deepened his commitment to reviving Indian Traditional Medical Systems. Currently, he is an independent consultant and works with Karnataka Historical Research Society® (est. 1914). Dr. Rasalkar is visiting Acharya for Shri Vishwamitra Gurukulam and provides his consultation to other institutions on request and demand basis if it falls in the domain of science and Indian knowledge system preservation, propagation, and cultivation.

आचार्यगण का परिचय

👨‍🏫 आचार्य पवन गोलसंगी — संस्थापक एवं प्रधानाचार्य

• आचार्य श्री पवन गोल(ळ)संगी एक वेदज्ञ, अभियंता और श्री विश्वामित्र गुरुकुलम् (धारवाड़, कर्नाटक) के दूरदर्शी संस्थापक एवं प्रधानाचार्य हैं। वे गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा में दृढ़ विश्वास रखते हुए पिछले 12 वर्षों से ऋग्वेद, द्वैत वेदांत, शास्त्रीय दर्शन, न्याय शास्त्र, धर्मशास्त्र, संस्कृत व्याकरण तथा संपूर्ण ज्योतिष शास्त्र (संहिता, सिद्धांत, होरा) का गहन अध्ययन और साधना कर रहे हैं।
• परंपरागत अध्ययन के साथ-साथ उन्होंने 2017 में विश्वेश्वरैया तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय से सुक्षमविद्युतीय तंत्रज्ञ तथा संचार प्रसारण तंत्रज्ञान (इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं कम्युनिकेशन में इंजीनियरिंग) स्नातक भी किया। इसके पश्चात उन्होंने सनातन धर्म की सेवा में स्वयं को समर्पित करते हुए इस वैदिक आवासीय गुरुकुल की स्थापना की।
• उनके विद्वत्तापूर्ण योगदानों में अनेक दुर्लभ ज्योतिष ग्रंथों का शोध, भाष्य और पुनर्जीवन शामिल है — जैसे: पंचांग साधन मंजूषा, प्रतोड़ यंत्र गणितम् (व्याख्यासहित), दैवज्ञ भूषणम् तथा खेता कल्पवल्ली। उनका उद्देश्य भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा को संरक्षित करना और समाज तक पहुँचाना है।
• ज्योतिष के अतिरिक्त वे स्वदेशी पशु-चिकित्सा, जड़ी-बूटी आधारित चिकित्सा तथा जैविक खेती के पारंपरिक अनुसंधान में भी सक्रिय हैं। वे गो – पालन (गायों का पालन पोषण तथा देखरेख ), अश्वपालन (घोड़ों की देखरेख) तथा भारतीय कृषि पद्धतियों पर व्यक्तियों एवं समुदायों को प्रशिक्षित करते हैं।
• गुरुकुल की आत्मा को जीवंत करते हुए, वे निःस्वार्थ सेवा, करुणा और प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी के जीवन में व्यक्तिगत संलग्नता के साथ पूर्णकालिक मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करते हैं। उनका उद्देश्य अगली पीढ़ी के ऐसे वैदिक विद्वानों को गढ़ना है जो परंपरा में स्थिर हों, और आधुनिकता से आत्मविश्वास और स्पष्टता के साथ जुड़ सकें।

👨‍🔬 डॉ. अविनाश अरविंद रसाल(ळ)कर, पीएच.डी. — अतिथि आचार्य

• डॉ. अविनाश रसाल(ळ)कर,एक  जीवविज्ञानी हैं जिन्होने तीव्र रक्त कैंसर (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) में अपना शोध प्रबंध लिखा,तथा इनको तेईस वर्षों का रेण्विय तथा कोशिका विग्यान के स्तर  पर मानविय रोगों का अध्ययन अनुभव प्राप्त है। उन्होंने जर्मनी के उल्म विश्वविद्यालय (विश्व रैंक: 142, वर्ष 2017) के चिकित्सा संकाय से मानव जीवविज्ञान में पीएच.डी. प्राप्त की। उनकी पूर्व शिक्षा भारत के उत्तर महाराष्ट्र विश्वविद्यालय से (1997 में B.Sc. माइक्रोबायोलॉजी और 1999 में M.Sc. बायोटेक्नोलॉजी) हुई।
• उनका कार्यक्षेत्र आक्रामक रक्त कैंसर, पुरुष बांझपन, लैंगिक विकृति, फेफड़ों के कैंसर और संक्रामक रोगों तक विस्तृत है। उन्होंने पहले एंटीबायोटिक जैव-परिवर्तन पर भी कार्य किया है, और हाल ही में आयुर्वेद सिद्धांतों को जैव प्रयोगशाला में एकीकृत कर प्राचीन चिकित्सा पद्धतियों की पुष्टि हेतु शोध प्रारंभ किया है। उनके 14 शोधपत्र और एक पुस्तक अध्याय अंतरराष्ट्रीय पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशित हुए हैं, जिनमें से छह  Q1 श्रेणी में हैं। उनका h-index और i10-index दोनों सात (7) हैं।
• वे पहले CSIR-CCMB हैदराबाद, हेल्महोल्ट्ज़ सेंटर म्यूनिख, उल्म यूनिवर्सिटी कैंसर सेंटर और EPFL (स्विट्ज़रलैंड) में कार्य कर चुके हैं। ये अनुभव उन्हें आणविक चिकित्सा, नैदानिक विज्ञान और अनुवादात्मक चिकित्सा में बहु-विषयक विशेषज्ञ बनाते हैं।
• पिछले तीन वर्षों से वे धारवाड़ में संस्कृत भाषा और भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा का गहन अध्ययन कर रहे हैं, जिससे उनकी भारतीय पारंपरिक चिकित्सा प्रणालियों के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता और भी दृढ़ हुई है। वर्तमान में वे स्वतंत्र सलाहकार के रूप में कार्यरत हैं । वे श्री विश्वामित्र गुरुकुल के अतिथि आचार्य हैं।

टिप्पणी:  आचार्यगण कोई वेतन नहीं लेते। उनका समस्त प्रयास भारतीय शास्त्रों के संरक्षण और धर्म की सेवा हेतु है।
